Thistlegorm Wreck Safari Day Trip

An unforgettable one day boat safari to the wreck of the SS Thistlegorm, the British armed Merchant Navy ship which was bombed by the Germans during the World War 2, as it’s by far the most famous wreck in the Red Sea.

It is defiantly a wreck that deserves more than one visit and each time you go you will see something different. On your dive you will be able to view the supplies the Thistlegorm carried including anti-tank mines, Lee Enfield MK3 rifles, motor cycles, Norton and Bedford trucks, Bren Gun Carriers, 2 steam engines with tenders, field generators, tires and rubber boots.

All these can be seen in the holds or laying close to the wreck, as is the case of the steam engine which was blown clear of the wreck by the explosion!

Your diving day trip includes transfers from and to Dahab, lunch, water, tanks, weights, guide, 2 dives on Thistlegorm and 1 dive at Ras Mohammed National Park.

You need to be an Advanced Open Water diver and highly recommended Nitrox diver.

Unforgettable experience
I went to Dahab with no intention of doing my open water course but after a discovery dive I ended up changing my flights and staying to complete my open water course as well as 3 adventure dives.
